Account & profile
Do I need an account to browse?
No. The homepage, archive, feed, leaderboard, and any public collector profile are open. You only need an account to bid, buy, save pieces to a gallery, post, or DM.
Can I keep my collection private?
Yes. In Settings → Privacy, toggle Private collection and your /collectors page becomes a 'this collection is private' notice. Any piece you own appears in the global archive as 'Owned · private collector' instead of being linked to you. You can also hide just yourself from the leaderboard separately.
Can I change my handle later?
Yes — Settings → Profile. The new handle has to be unique and use only lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, or underscores.
Drops & buying
What are the five drop formats?
Standard — fixed price, optional quantity. Flash — fixed price with a hard timer. Auction — starting price, bid increments, anti-snipe. Print edition — numbered copies of a template, mints sequentially. Bundle — multiple pieces sold together.
How do I get notified when something drops?
Click 'Get notified' on any scheduled drop page — you'll get an email and an in-app notification the second it goes live. You can manage which categories notify you in Settings → Notifications.
Can I buy as a gift?
Yes. Stripe Checkout has a gift option — recipient email and a message. Note: the piece will end up in your gallery first; transferring it to the recipient's account uses the standard /transfers flow so the provenance chain stays intact.
Auctions
Why do I have to save a card before bidding?
Auction bids on Sabet are commit-to-buy. The moment the timer hits zero, the high bidder's card on file is charged automatically — no manual checkout, no chasing buyers. Your card details live with Stripe; we never see them.
What's anti-snipe?
If a bid lands inside the last (typically) 120 seconds of an auction, the timer extends by that same window. You can't steal a piece by bidding at 11:59:59 — the auction stays alive until two minutes pass without a new bid.
What if my card declines when I win?
You'll get a notification with a manual checkout link, and the piece is held for you until you complete payment. If 3DS verification is required, the same flow applies. Repeated failure may forfeit the piece to the next-highest bidder.
Can I cancel a bid?
No. By bidding you commit to pay if you're the high bidder when the timer ends.
What's a reserve price?
An optional minimum that must be met for a winner to be declared. If the high bid doesn't hit reserve, no one is charged and everyone is notified. Reserve is hidden from bidders.
Certificates & verification
What's a certificate?
A signed digital record of authenticity for a specific piece, owned by a specific collector. Every cert has a unique number (e.g. SV-000142), a public URL, a downloadable PDF, and is signed by the studio. If the studio issues it, the piece is real — full stop.
I bought a piece years ago, off-platform. Can I get a cert?
Yes — that's exactly what /verify is for. Submit a clear photo of the piece and any proof you have. Ali reviews each submission personally; turnaround varies. The badge depends on the strength of your proof.
What happens to the cert if I sell the piece?
When both parties approve a transfer at /transfers, the old cert is voided and a new one is issued to the new owner. The provenance chain (every prior owner) remains visible on the public piece page.
Shipping & fulfillment
Who ships the pieces?
Physical pieces ship from Sabet Studio. Labels are created via ShipStation; carrier varies by destination (USPS Priority is the default for US). Tracking number appears on your /orders/{id} page the moment the label prints.
What does the timeline look like?
Paid → Label printed → Shipped → Delivered. You get a notification at every step. Most US orders ship within 3–5 business days of purchase; international can be longer.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes — US, Canada, UK, and Australia by default at checkout. Other countries on request via DM after purchase.
What if my piece arrives damaged?
Email proof to the studio within 7 days. If we ship a replacement, the original cert is voided and a fresh one is issued for the replacement.
Refunds & disputes
What's the refund policy?
Auction winners cannot refund — bids are final. Fixed-price purchases can be refunded by request within 14 days for unworn / unused pieces; refunds void the certificate and remove the piece from your gallery automatically.
Someone is using my image / claiming my piece. What do I do?
Use the report flow on the offending content — admins review every report. For fakes, also email the studio with photos.
Community
Where do collectors talk?
The /feed is for short posts (Twitter-style). The /forum is for deeper threads — showcases, questions, market chatter. /messages is for one-on-one DMs. Pieces themselves don't have public comments — that lives in the forum.
Can I trade pieces directly with another collector?
Yes — coordinate via DMs or the forum, then both of you confirm the move at /transfers. Sabet doesn't escrow money or guarantee those arrangements; that part is on you. The platform records the new ownership and re-issues the cert.
Money & receipts
What currencies do you accept?
USD by default. International cards work; your bank handles the FX.
Where can I see my receipts?
/orders shows every order you've placed with status, total, and tracking. Stripe also emails a receipt for every successful charge.
Are there any fees beyond the listed price?
Shipping is added at checkout where applicable. No buyer's premium on auctions — the bid amount is what you pay.
